This is the first trip I took with my brand spanking new Sanyo digital camera. Yup a Sanyo digital camera, I bet you never even thought that Sanyo made digital cameras. Well yes and no, Sanyo did make digital cameras way back then, but not pesently. I think this is the only model that Sanyo produced. But way back then, a one mega pixel camera was like wow!. :)
Anyway back to my trip. This trip took us 7 days, and we visited 4 towns and 1 city. From Banawe, Batad, Bontoc, Sagada and Baguio. I think I took almost 200 pictures (more actually but some of them I erased).

We left for Banawe on an overnight 10 hour bus ride. We arrived in banawe, rented a room to store all our gear, and packed for the bare minimum in preparation to our long hike to Batad. We took an hour ride jeepney ride to the junction and hiked 2 hours going to the small town of Batad. The picture here is my very first picture of the trip. A group of girls who walk an hour each way just to go to school. It took us around 2 hours to hike the same distance this little girls walk an hour everyday.
